Metal Roof Encapsulation – Loreto Catholic School

Solar Cool was recently contracted by our firm to encapsulate 3,600 Square metres of metal roofs at Loreto Catholic School.
The temperature decrease after the Solar Cool membrane was applied was 11 C ! This being the difference in the ambient shade temperature to inside the building, this surpassed our expectations.

Ambient Temp. 49 C
Ambient Temp in Shade 36.5 C
Ambient Temp Inside Building 25 C

Commercial Roof Membrane – Sydney City Plumbing Pty. Ltd

Solar Cool has recently been contracted to apply a heat radiating membrane at our commercial premises. On the 24th September 2006 there was an internal temperature decrease of 16°C. Our air conditioning came on later in the day which will reduce our electricity bill quite significantly. Solar Cool also provided Work Methods Statements, used safety harnesses on application of Solar Cool, and we found them very professional. I highly recommend them to anyone requiring their services.

Kind Regards,
Vern R. Padagas

Dreading the impact that the summer heat has on working conditions for your business? Hotter weather means decreased productivity and increased cooling costs. If your factory or workshop is hot and humid you should consider having your roof protected with industrial roof coatings.

A roof can reach temperatures as high as 55 degrees Celsius. Materials like concrete can take hours to cool down again, not allowing the inside of the building to cool down overnight. No wonder your work place is hot! Heat reflective surfacing reflects the suns heat, which stops the roof from heating up in the first place. Studies have shown that the temperature of your roof can drop as much as 17 degree Celsius once a protective roof coating has been applied.

Some of the most advanced roof coating products in the world are Australian designed products. They work with the use of a protective membrane that encapsulates the roof. The membrane reflects 95% of infra-red rays and 85% of ultra-violet rays, sending them back into the atmosphere and away from your building. Having your roof coated can reduce the inside temperature by up to 47% and reduce your cooling costs by up to 61% as confirmed by research conducted at the University of New South Wales.

Industrial roof painters can visit your business and apply the protective membrane to your roof. If appropriate your walls and surrounding roads can also be treated with the same product. You will notice the difference roof cooling brings within just a few days.

Once you have a protective coat in place your building, factory or warehouse is left cooler, without the use of air-conditioning. Your staff are happier and more productive.

Industrial roof coatings can be applied to many types of surfaces. Concrete and metal roofs are suitable for roof cooling purposes. Even a roof constructed with asbestos is suitable for coating. Using the encapsulating membrane, the asbestos is rendered benign. This means that no dust can escape from the asbestos, even if the roof cracks or or bubbles with time. Many businesses look to asbestos encapsulation as an alternative to the messy, dangerous and time consuming work of asbestos removal.

Heat reflective coating is not just limited to roofs. Any concrete surface can have the heat reflecting membrane applied. Concrete walls and roads are commonly treated with the same material as roofs with excellent results.

If your roof is hot enough to fry an egg on, it might be time to consult with the industrial roof painters.
